Tree is located off our patio.. It is always a pleasure to view every year..

Wonderful pics. I had one I nurtured for 5 years and it was amazing how it loaded up with orchid like blooms. I sold that place and and miss the
flowers not the mess. I guess the new owners didn't like the mess either cuz it's only twigs now

Love that tree! Don't know about wind and salt but it has to have a hot climate to do well--I tried one in Borrego Springs and it survived the first

We had three at our old place, planted them at the same time from seedlings. Two had the wind blocked by a 5 foot wall, and one was directly exposed
to the full force of the pacific winds (not unlike Asuncion). The tree that was exposed to the wind was about 5 feet tall and very thin, the other
two were about 12 feet tall with full canopies. The wind definitely affected the growth.
We just planted two more seedlings at our new place, they're about 80 yards from the ocean, and somewhat protected from the wind. They seem to be
doing OK.

Our tree gets full sun/ wind, but can be messy, we have a planter below for the flowers to drop and "self mulch" the bed below..
Tree is about 20 ft tall and provides a nice 20 ft+ canopy for shade.. The tree will fill-in over the next few weeks...
