That bridge brings back memories! Years ago I lived within half a mile of one just like it in New Jersey for 10 years while people fought over where the rest of the highway would go.

David K - 5-7-2009 at 07:59 AM

Mike, the bridge hasn't changed in three years... it just might be finished!

ha!!!

Great thread.

I've always loved the way some things are built in Mexico. Really makes you smile.

I've always wondered if M.C. Escher was secretly a Mexican.

Maybe the M.C. stands for "Mexican Contractor"?

Zoning, Building Permits, construction requirements

wessongroup - 8-13-2009 at 11:19 AM

Was going to ask how tough the zoning and/or building requirements were ...... I'm still laughing, thanks so much for the pictures. Never seen anything like it...

Would like to know if one is able to get a lot, what kind of "building requirements (type housing) could one expect to fall under... it is case by case, or would it depend on where your lot is located.

Are there or would there be a "type" of construction and style which would be required... in most places one can get a "lot"

Live in South Orange County and anything you do around your home must "fit" in with CC&R's and everyone else, the color, landscaping, exterior trim etc...

Is it possible to just buy a lot and put a trailer on it and build out over time?

Thanks for any help, ... looking at options to cut costs if possible ...
