Headed down to Mulege last week for a quick trip to pick up stuff from our house. Crossed the border early monday morn, no problems anywhere, waved through all check points, overnighted at Las Caracolas (sp) and ate at the restaurant right next door, very clean but pricey, off the next morning to mulege, again no problems, picked up our stuff and visited with our friends overnight. headed back the next day, again no problems at all. Check points were polite and professional. Spent the night at the Chavez hotel in San Quintin, 240 pesos for two..great deal..and the restaurnat next door was good as well and fairly priced. ( about 40% less than Guerro Negro. Again I can't spell,... back across the border with not a problem at all. except the 1 1/2 hour border wait...Lots of gas, pretty good road, ands they are almost finished with the resurfacing in El Rosario. About 1500 miles in four days towing a 14ft trailer, not even a flat tire!!!It was 100 in Mulege and the water is around 75.
We will really miss that beach....
