Myself and a couple of other intrepid Baja Nomads from Ensenada will be making a trip to BOLA in the near future. Plan to overnight there and return
to Ensenada the next day. Any suggestions on reasonable and worthy lodging establishments from BOLA residents or recent visitors????
Oh yeah, almost forgot......anyplace recommended there where we can imbibe cold Pacifico's and have a great meal????

The place across from Guillermos. I forget the name but it has a bar/restuarant and nice rooms.
I haven't stayed at Guillermos but he has some rooms right on the water. Looks nice.

It's a long drive for an overnighter. (almost 8hrs.) If you could stay at least a day or two, you'll find plenty to do and see there. Check out Mia's
website for what you'd be missing otherwise.

You've got that right. Why overnight? Just turn around and head back.
Costa De Sol
TheColoradoDude - 5-12-2009 at 11:23 PM
Costa del Sol. $50, Internet, Bar/Restaurant. The owner was really nice lady with a gigantic black great dane named Scooby. Scooby acted as
greeter/bar back at this place.

Ha ha, ya Scooby is cool too. And the lady is super nice.
There is a couple of little stores (for Pacificos) within walking distance.
This is where I stay. Sometimes there is a few yellowtail in town for a visit also.bent-rim - 5-13-2009 at 02:56 AM
I've always stayed at Guillermo's. It's on the water and BOLA has the best sunrises. It's clean, has a bar, the food can be hit or miss. There's a
better restaurant in town called Hamaca's(sp?).Martyman - 5-13-2009 at 08:00 AM
Larry And Rachels is spartan but niceVon - 5-13-2009 at 08:41 AM

Avoid the new rooms at Costa del Sol... (the 2 story building) hard as rock bed. Stayed there last January... The original rooms are good we hear...
and the owner is super nice, and the food is excellent. Pacifico is served!
Villa Bahia comes highly recommended, by Graham Mackintosh...just north of town a bit. Beyond is Raquel & Larry's Motel... worth checking,
restaurant there too. Beyond is the new super hotel Los Vientos... may be nice may be abandoned... No recent news.
Back in town:
Las Hamacas is pretty basic and very little water pressure in the shower. Stayed there in '06
Casa Diaz is where it all began... haven't stayed there since 1967.
Guillermo's is on the beach in town, a few rooms, nice looking bar and restaurant. The scallops might be manta ray, however.
Villa Vita Hotel: keep moving (too many horror stories to mention).

Well, that's a different story if you're just going to pick up Captain and head north again. If you're not against camping out, you could park the
night at our place which is just right up the beach from where you'll be picking up Captain.
We've got a large patio, fire pit, shade, lots of parking, beach front, u2u me for details.
