I've been to Tijuana many times. I know the area fairly well. I'm entertaining the idea of having my car painted in Tijuana, to try and save money. I
need the type of paint job where they take off many of the parts, as opposed to using 100% masking tape. I think that's called a custom paint job?
In TJ body shops can be found on virtually every steet corner. Has anyone here ever had their car painted in Mexico and if you did how would you rate
your experience?
And of course a recommendation to a trusted shop would be great

I had an accident in BCS and my insurance company suggested I use this place in TJ.
They did excellent work, vehicle came out looking like new.

clientes@autobodymx.com but don't know if it still is. Good luck. I think you'll be impressed when you visit them.woody with a view - 5-18-2009 at 12:16 PM

Yes, a list of car repair shops and/or individuals + contact information and critique which encompasses the whole peninsula would be fabulous.
Number 7, thanks for starting this thread.fishingmako - 5-18-2009 at 06:46 PM
Nice car but it does have some heavy RUST, you need to get that taken care of in the STATES prior to painting, the bondo sucks in Mexico, although the
same Bondo, just the application.CaboRon - 5-22-2009 at 08:11 AM

Doesn't look as if the previous owners ever put a good wax on to protect that paint

I have probably screwed up the name of the business.
On Benito Juarez Blvd. heading south, turn left at the Chinese restaurant, (Costa Azul?), go up the the hill, right and left around the cemetery, then
right again at the end of the road, approximately one mile more you will see the repair shop (he has a London cab sitting outside)
The owner's first name is Alfonso and he is someone you can trust.
Here's where I posted...
