While on this subject, what about pet friendly eating establishments in the area?? We have found a few, even some that normally don't allow them when
we explain our little poodle has epilepsy, they often will make an exception for us. We like to be able to go out on occasion, but since she is a

That's always a problem. and the pricier the reataurant, the more it matters. I really feel for noproblemo. But are you saying that you cannot spend
90 minutes beyond the control of your pet?

Thanks dtbushpilot will keep that in mind. As for 90 minutes, the answer would be NO, as in our case it would be the matter of a life or possible
death situation that we as retirees made our decision 6 yrs ago when she was diagnosed, we just didn't realize the severity of her conditions at the

Noproblemo2...our wonderful aussie is epileptic and we made the same commitment to her. It has been 10 years and she is with us all the time. I
wonder if you have been in contact with a vet who is up on treatment with potassium bromide and phenobarbital? We started on phenobarbital, but
reduced it greatly by using potassium bromide. Generally we get seizures every couple of months, but it has now been 10 months without one. No
reason for that, just is. Our dog has been on the drugs since being 6 months old. She loves Baja, sailing (with out the engine), and just being with
us. Thanks for sticking by your girl! We take 6 months of these drugs to Baja each year and support our use with letters from our vet, photos of our

Yes, she also started on Pb, then Kbr, the ensuing thyroid issues so Soloxine as well, and of course the diazapam for breaking clusters/status

What a tear jerker, you guys are great, I take my dog everywhere, and when I'm traveling if they won't take my dog then don't take me, these dogs are
not throw away items as so many folks think they are, in other words if they become a problem just throw them away.

As a Service Dog.
Go on the internet, get an ID for the dog, buy a jacket.
Print out a Spanish language copy of Mexican law regarding Service Dogs and you can go anywhere, anyplace, according to Mexican Federal law.
You may get some protests from the establishments, but giving them a copy of the law silences any opposition, if you are willing to stand your ground.
