Last year, prior to delivering numerous repellants down south, there was some discussion as to the effectiveness of the different repellants.
I learned something recently that I thought I would share with yall.
Salt and Vinegar are two of the best repellants as they ruin the flavor of your blood. Salt can be bad but mass quantities of oil and vinegar salad
dressing never hurt anybody.
This advice came from someone who is allergic to repellants and they swear by the effectiveness.
I know Mexicans aren't real big on salads, but if it works, they are going to be.
Unless...

Might be something to it, JR. I eat a lot of salt and very rarely get bothered by mosquitos. And here I thought they just didn't like my sweet
disposition.

I go there up to twice a week..... sometimes stay 2 or 3 weeks, sometimes just for the day. We have a house there, so, I really split my time between
here and there....why...???

Dengue - bugs

I've lived thru 8 years of storms/hurricanes/mosquitos in East Cape. When the power goes out, the fans go off. Last year with 2 bad beach walking
storms we lost power for weeks. My gardner said to rub shampoo into my skin to protect against the bugs. Worked like a charm but I should have
cleaned up every other day, put on some stuff -- it formed a new skin on me that was really wierd. Two of my local neighbors got the fever, about 20
others in the village, 2 deaths from the bad kind of "breakbone".jrbaja - 6-16-2004 at 01:51 PM
What kind of shampoo Osprey? I am not against having an extra coating while in Mosquito country this year. I am hoping for the vinegar to work but
why take chances eh?
