We drove through san ignacio on friday and the western side of town had a substantial fire that had started thurs evening. they had equipment from
GN, Mulege, St Rosalia and all over.
Did they contain it? How much damage?
Very interesting to watch a samll community respond to a wildfire. Men from the community men (shovels and buckets) jumped right in. Poor equipment,
but a spirited response.

Bottom line from our friends in Asuncion told us, is that while there was property damage, no person was hurt. The fire did come very close to some
of their family's homes, but the firemen did a good job.
