My husband and I have never been to Baja before and after reading all the posts, we have to check it out! What's the best way to get to La Paz from
the airport in Los Cabos? Does anyone recommend renting a car, or is it just as easy to take the bus? Thanks!

Rent a car, or fly into the La Paz airport if you can.

you can rent a car in cabo or la paz.
How long do you plan on being in town? Without a car, how do you plan to get around?
There's several car rental agencies, just be aware that you will be required to buy rental car insurance which is different than the car insurance you
may find online. Rental car insurance can be from $16-$30 additional per day!
still worth it, give us some more details of what you're thinking about.
Flights from LA to La Paz on Mon, Wed, Sat.

The bus is easy. But you need to get from the airport to San Jose Del Cabo to the bus terminal.
I haven't rented a car from Cabo but I have in Loreto and La Paz.
I prefer my own car.

I rent a car whether I fly into La Paz our Cabo.
RENT A CAR.
It is a great drive up to La Paz. Plan on about 2.5 hrs for your first time and depending on the time of your flight you can stop in Las Barilles for
lunch or dinner as it is about the 1/2 way point.
You'll be heading north from the airport so you won't have any traffic to deal with but be aware of cattle on the road.

Rent a car, but make sure you have all the insurances, any accident, weither you are at fault or not, you will be detained.

Thanks for all the quick responses!!
We'll be in La Paz for a week - the connections from where we're flying out make it a 16-20 hour trip if we fly into La Paz, but if we fly into Cabo
it's only 5 or 6 hours. Plus, this way we can see more of the countryside.
Any preferences from past experiences as to which car rental agencies are the easiest to deal with?

I prefer Avis. All mandatory Mexican liability insurance is included in your quote.

Stop in Los Barriles. Treat yourself to a fish taco at the Viejo. Have fun!
