Looking for recommendations for a boat that you can cruise and fish in around Baja Norte. What experiences do you have with boats here? thanks

Fishbuck is being a bit playful, of course.
If you are talking San Quintin and north: my experience is the seas are quite placid for the most part and just about any well-founded boat would do.
Others may have different experiences, of course.

I'm am serious! This is an Amato 28 Pilothouse minicruiser. If you want to fish offshore on the Pacific you need a serious boat.
When you get even a few miles offshore on the Pacific it can be a bit cool and damp. Even in summer. I have fished an Amato 26 superpanga a few times
and it's a nice boat too. But being out in an open boat all day on the Pacific will wear you out. Having a pilothouse for shelter is much better. Plus
having a marine toilet is a big plus.
The Pacific can get rough in a hurry and you can get wet real fast.
I fish alot from Davies Locker in Newport and from San Diego on the big party boats. When I see small boats far out the guys look very miserible.
Alot (most) of private boats from Newport are 36 feet and over.
Amato knows what he is doing! He builds his boats in Ensenada for Mexican Pacific Ocean fishermen.
I consider that 28 Amato the minimum boat for the Pacific. The one in the photo belongs to Kelly Catian in San Q. His other boat is a 26 Parker
Pilothouse. An awesome boat too.
Once I tried to get out to the Thetis Bank in a Gregor Baja 16.
I never made it out of Mag Bay. And I almost didn't make it back to San Carlos. Not one of the smartest things I ever did.
The next day I went out in a 26 superpanga with 200 hp. We still didn't make to Thetis. Because it got too rough. I think it's like 20 miles from the
Entrada.
The Amato 28 would make it easy.

That boat looks tough. What would that cost? Their website consists of 3 pics of a boat.

Went by Amato's shop today (turn right at the country club instead of left). Price for a boat like one in the photo was around 38k plus price of
engine. Man I was thinking prices were going to be a lot less. Anyways, the guys at the shop were very nice and no pressure.
