il rustico B&B La Paz

I usually stay with friends in La Paz but recently needed a room so decided to try this B&B as the restaurant is a favorite of mine and I've been intrigued by the rooms off the outside dining area. il rustico is on Revolucion between Bravo and Rosales, very conveniently located close to the central market, downtown and the malecon.

there are two rooms, each in a circular lay out, in the garden just off the restaurant. both are spacious, very clean, modern, with palapa roofs, ceiling fans and ac. the one I stayed in (Agave?) had a kitchenette with stove, frig, sink, basic dishes; the second one does not. continental breakfast in the garden is included...fruit, yogurt, cereal, toast, juice, coffee/tea. with street tacos for lunch and il rustico's great food in the evening, we didn't want to go anywhere else. lounging around the restaurant in the afternoons...it's closed for lunch except weekends...playing cards or doing internet (wifi included) was very relaxing. at 50US including tax I though it was a great value. the sign says 45 and up, I didn't check the price of the second room.

the downside for many Nomads is that there is no parking and parking on street in the area can be difficult. noise from the restaurant late at night, particularly with people passing the one room near the bathrooms, could be an issue for the noise sensitive. it didn't bother me at all.

the owners Alessandra and Franco are Italian; they are helpful but not intrusive.
