There a 7 (I think) horses near Camp Gecko Bahia de Los Angeles that have been abandoned, including one about 1 1/2yr. old and a what looks to be a
pregnant mare.
Questions as to who "owns" them around the village is met with shrugs 
Seems that maybe there is a good home out in Nomadland somewhere..........

I cant imagine the horses are abandoned....maybe ask at the Delegacion. There are ranches around there that had horses...we often saw them out by El
Rincon....I'm itchin for a new horse but hopefully will resist till Baja Gypsy get here.

Are you in Bahia right now?
They have to belong to a ranch out there somewhere. We see horses cruise by our place almost every summer. Sometimes their front feet are hobbled,
(tied together with short lengths of rope) so they can't get too far too quickly.
I wouldn't worry about them, as they know where their water is and where your nice plants are growing for when they get hungry for snacks!
I am curious to know the regulations though on bringing a stateside horse into Baja and being able to trailer it out again some day. I have a friend
who is starting to plan for the future.....
(and if my friend's ex is reading this, it has absolutely nothing to do with my horse 
)

You want to find the owners? Just start trailering up those horses & I'll bet you'll have indignant owners raising a ruckus muy rapido!

Okay, these horses were abandoned when Juana's family left the ranch, they are ABANDONED..........questions have been asked of the 'powers that be'
in the village and no one is taking care of them except gringos that happen to go out and water them.
They need a good home, or, someone there full time willing and able to take care of them.
If anyone is wanting to adopt one or more, I promise to do the leg work to make sure everyone is happy.
P: no, I'm on my way on Fri.........I'm sure it is the ranch horses that you are seeing at your place, there are more of them then in past years and
they are causing a problem that I'm afraid may cause someone to harm them. They are hungry and thirsty.....and only doing what they need to
survive........but, causing damage.
Let's try to get them help before the worst happens
