Wow, pretty scary stuff... Hope the 'evil thing' stays out of your head!
Thanks for letting you 'Baja family' know, Marla!

marla, Thanks for your story.
You're a lady with one heck of a good attitude!

I am happy to hear you are recovering. You definitely have your age on your side. My Father wasn't so lucky, which makes me happy for everyone with
a good prognosis since life is such a good thing. Get well, and get back to Baja when you are able to.

I did the cancer surgery thing last year. I don't have much advice except to suggest that there are so many psych. elements to it that you may find
yourself with attitude changes. I had lived much of my life saying "life is short, eat dessert first." Now I am more likely to say "life is short,
I'll have the sugar free jello please." The experience has made my life richer. (laproscopic radical nephrectomy) Good luck and richest blessings on
you sister.

I admire your sense of humor. And I bet your attitude will be a BIG factor in a quick return to life as normal. Something we all should keep in mind.
Thanks for setting a good example.

Marla, So sad to hear of your unexpected adventure and so happy to hear you are recovering nicely. Your kids have grown so much since I've seen them.
They look wonderful. Hopefully for part of your recovery you can make a small visit to Baja and come visit us again. Bless you and your family ,k

Marla,
No problem! Trust me, the higher it is, the less problems.

I have had escaped prostate cancer for 19 years and I am mostly alive. Come visit again and bring those rotten kids along to pet four Huskies.

How scary.
Although, my best friend has had a couple of brain tumors removed over the years and they were benign. No trace of anything any more.
The toughest part is the mental. And you seemed to have licked that.
DianaT - 6-22-2009 at 10:53 PM
With your attitude, bad news does not stand a chance!!
Keep it going.
