Boaters and locals know this, but if you're driving past Puerto Escondido (coming or going to Loreto) and need gas, pull into the new Marina location
and fill up. It's a great spot, beautiful views and has clean restrooms. The big drawback could be a boat filling up in front of you and having to
wait (The one I was behind had a $4,500 peso gas bill). Even if you have to wait, it is really a nice stop if you're not in a hurry for gas or need a
nice break from the road.

I forget which one it is in Santa Rosalia, but someone will remember.
But, in Vizcaino, I highly suggest using the older gas station at the north end of town.
It certainly, however, is not a pretty as that station in Puerto Escondido---nice photo.

I know the one at the "Y" in Vizcaino is cool. Pemex, despite the fact that their reserves are rapidly dwindling, continues to open more stations.

In Santa Rosallia the old station on the west side of the road in the middle of town and the new station on the North end of town (west side of

It is really just a nice place to get gas. I don't feel like I was ripped off at all. I wasn't charged a sur-charge, paid only what was on the meter,
the attendent was very professional and friendly and there were two local cars behind me getting gas as well. I figured it was an ok place and would
pass on the information to the forum.

I use it regularly. the price at the pump for cars is the same as in town (Loreto). there is a marina surcharge for boats at the dock.
they do occasionally run out of gas, the same as any other station, so remember not to drive in on gas fumes!
after, or before you fill up, stop at Porto Bello restaurant, second floor of the Singlar building. I think it's been reviewed here before. opens at

I can suggest the intown PEMEX of Mulege. Not necessarely the one at the highway. They got the same owner. The one in town seems to be more honest as

My favorite gas station is the one in San Ignacio on the highway. The bathroom is wonderful, never a line up at the pump...AND that big supermarket

it is not a chain...just the local market...but has the cheapest prices around, huge selection...lots of fruit, veggies, meat, cheese etc. and has
