JESSE - 7-1-2009 at 12:02 AM

Saw a car similar to this one with their logo driving around La Paz.

What? Advertising a promotion at the hardware store?

Maybe now we can all see the Las Tres Virgines restaurant when they get the pics online.

unless the Mexican gov't blocks Google Earth Street view- as many countries are now doing. Onthe bright side- you folks in Baja sur still have time to arrange rocks into obscene words and designs for the world to enjoy.

Jesse,
As sweet a guy as you are, what made you pick " The Soup N-zi " for your Avatar.:?::biggrin:

For folks not familiar with that character, watch some Seinfeld reruns.

Paula, Hard to hide from the google guys.;D You've got to get back in the boonies. They'll only have sat. photos, no road views. :D

What's available from Google is just a bunch of blurs compared to what your good old USA government has from their satallites.

Boy- that's a fact. 25 years ago I was visiting a buddy at his Mission Beach house and saw a photo of his car parked in front of the house on the wall. I made a wisecrack about the photo and he told me it had been taken from a satellite using the lenses he was delveloping for the gov't. And that was 25 years ago. I'll bet now they can read your watch from the moon.

For several years, I've had satellite images of various US cities at a resolution of 1/4 meter per pixel. That means you can see people walking on the streets. Of course these were taken several years ago. Nothing up to date at all.
