An easy drive. The roads were the best I've seen them in 24 years of driving Baja. Very few delays due to construction and inspections.

Yeah man....The stretch from Sauzal to San Antonio is flawless. High temperatures and heavy trucks will soon have an effect, though. Oh well, the

Pretty good to excellent, Richard. Like we said above, from Sauzal [ north end of Ensenada] to San Antonio, around twenty two miles, It's better
than perfect.
Still good from there to Guadalupe. Shortly thereafter, you have to start paying attention to the potholes although there's evidence of a repair
program in progress. Anyway, pay attention to the road surface.
Last week, there was road work, one lane at a time with flagmen, at 22 Ks out of Tecate. It's only about a half mile of inconvenience. No big
thing and It may be gone by the time you get there.
All in all, the road is fine. [except for those nasty potholes]

The last 10 miles to Ensenada from Tecate are beautiful 4-lane (2 each way). But like I said, the best I've seen it in my life. Travel on Sunday or
after 6 PM and it will have no delays for the new construction.
Man it's nice to have a wide road for about a third of Baja now!
