I know the topic has come up before, but I am just about to make the plunge on new appliances and I haven't much experience, I wonder has anyone had
positive recent experience with appliance purchases in La Paz?
Did the supplier deliver? Costs? How?
Fridge: Ideas? Experience?
Stove: What do you think of electric stoves as opposed to gas, do they have stand alone v220 smooth-top stove/oven? I am thinking of elec for indoor
to reduce risk of gas leaks inside. Are elec stove/ovens cost effective? I use gas for outdoor grill where we do most cooking anyway?

We had a positive "non-purchase" fridge experience at Ferry last month (I think Kate referred us there). They had a good selection at decent prices
and the salesman was very helpful - answering all of our pesky questions and giving us a thorough explanation of why we will not find what we want in
Baja. If we were going to shop for a large appliance in La Paz again, we would start there.
The other appliance stores we visited did not have such good customer attention but we may have been hot and tired and hungry by then so our
impatience may have been a factor to our perceived experience. So I won't say anything negative about them...

Thank you Kate and CP, I am betting on comecial el Ferry-gonna negotiate quick and get out estimated total time from home there and back 60 minutes
;-) Big move tomorrow for me going from cooking over a fire with veggies and fish and keeping bevs cold on fishy ice. Somehow though, I imagine the
appliances sitting lonely inside while I still make a fire on the ground in the garden surrounded by vecinos y peros drinking warm tecate. A ver.
My dream is a good usable electric stove and fridge that work and separately two gas custom burners set in the counter-top "topchef" inside and the
grill outside plus the fire pit and fishy ice. It might happen... manana!

We did go to El Ferry La Paz and found nice products at great prices with great service. Just like that, the appliance project is accomplished. whew.
Now on to cement kitchen countertops and cabinets and more palapa shade.
