Hi all,
Anyone have these little ground creeping plants? We have them all around our house in areas of sandy soil. I've been tediously digging them out one
by one and burning them so they do not propogate any further. Locals call em toritos for obvious reasons, not nice to get one of these "seeds"
implanted in the bottom of your foot!
Anyone know the proper name for them (other than P-nche bastards!)
Hopefully me getting rid of them will mean less next year!

Goathead - Tribulus terrestris
Great for getting a flat tire on your bicycle. The little fruits eaten when green are supposed to be a natural Viagra.

Oh yeah, I hate those things. I'm always stepping on those damn things. Even when the plant is nowhere in sight I somehow manage to drive one of those
burrs into my heel.

this link just showed up on a local bulletin board. Good info about the little suckers! Not nice for pets, either, as you can imagine.
