they sure dissipate fast though and just dont seem to make it over the hump to our side...whew

It's frickin' hot, Russ. If we weren't in the middle of our building process, we would not be here. We will be NOB in succeeding summers. Last two
nights have not dropped below 85 and the humidity hangs between 50-60% at night. Some days it drops into the 30% range but it's not common.
I'd love to bop over to the Pacific side some time for some cool air but the ferry charges are just ridiculous.
Just got back from a 4 day trip to Basaseachi Falls National Park. SPECTACULAR!!! We drove through an incredible rainstorm where I would estimate it
was falling at somewhere betweeen 4-6 inches per hour. Several lightning strikes with a 1 sec. delay in thunder. Anyway, we got to the lookout and
the storm had created several smaller falls and all of them grew dramatically while we watched for about a half hour.
It was nice sleeping in 55 degree weather without an A/C unit cycling. Some of the surrounding area reminded me of the Sierra Nevada mtns around
Sequoia and Kings Canyon, although less variety of conifers than that area. Mostly just yellow pine and Jeffrey pine with some cedar and large juniper
thrown in. But it had HUGE specimans of manzanita.
P.S. Bought a D90 today with a couple lenses. Should be here via amigo express in about 3 weeks. My posted pics should improve.

I wonder if there's trout up above the falls.

I think it's doubtful. The top of the falls is probably around 6200 feet and the drainage above it probably doesnt exceed 7500 feet. I think these
waters get too warm to support trout.
There are other drainages close by that might, though.

Right after I posted last night the guy that runs the morning San Carlos net got on the radio and gave a weather report. Evidently there were some
worried boaters. He he finished his report by predicting a nonevent for this nasty looking storm. Nothing crossed over here. Just another hot &
humid night under the fan. 82º & 93% right now outside. Screens are dripping wet.
You are smart to be there during construction. Even though it maybe a bit uncomfortable and frustrating. How about a pic of your floor plan? Here's my
latest drawing of something I'd like to build on the Pacific side
good choice in cameras. I'm thinking of buying the D 90 body and some day a really good long lens. Someday....

Garage shop. There would be another larger garage too. I'd put it to block the winter wind and have a guest room & RV hookup. Probably start with
that and the gas, pila & solar would be there too. Washer & dryer too?
