Message we received from Mr. Medina, in charge of coordinating the take over.
Ms. Vandenberg,
Good morning. As you may know, FONATUR is taking over the hotel and golf course. I will be tied up all day today helping the Fonatur operation team
get situated so that they may initiate the re-opening process which is estimated to take approximately two weeks.Baja&Back - 7-24-2009 at 08:41 AM
Well, if Fonatur is taking over, you know the golf course grass will be dead in 2 weeks.
Seems to me they've killed everything they touched in the last 10 years.JESSE - 7-24-2009 at 08:49 AM

I was wondering how they thought they could reopen the hotel and golf course on one day's notice considering that all the workers had been laid off
weeks before. I expect that many have even left town.ncampion - 7-25-2009 at 11:39 AM
Drove by the course today and...... there are flag sticks in the greens. I take that as a sign that it may actually be open. Now let's see who
wants to play golf in this heat !!!

Latest message we received from the coordinator.
Mrs. Vandenberg,
Good afternoon. According to my conversations with Fonatur, there will be access to golf play this weekend startin today. However, golf play acces
will be limited to weekends. In addition, golf play access for this weekend is free, not sure how long this will last for.
