This is a direct quote from the people who are working hard to make this a great success.
"Ruben’s opening party begins this Saturday at 5:00pm. He will have entertainment from 5-7pm. While nothing is "firm" (which bothers me) he will
have the Folklorick performers (outside area?) and guitarist (inside). He is also working on entertainment from 7-9 or 10pm. There will be outdoor
heaters in case it gets nippy. His specials are a choice of Steak/Ribs/Halibut or Sea Bass for $10.00. This includes: Salad, Entree, Dessert and
the first drink free (beer, wine or well drink). He has slated five waiters and two bartenders. Two of his regular clients have volunteered to do a
survey this day as to what his new name should be. Three choices will be provided: Ruben's Palm Grill; La Palmira; and, The Palm (as I understand).
He will be serving in his present location until October 1st. His brunches will continue at that location, giving him time to get the new place
organized. October 1st his brunches will move to the Cantamar site.
At the new location he will have Thursday's Lady's night, he will presently maintain the old Palm menu until he finds out what works and doesn't work,
and has two of the old Palm cooks to guide him as to what works best.
His bar specials will have Tequila gold instead of the "rot gut" tequila. His Happy Hour specials will be $1.50 for "Draft Beer", Gold Marguertas and
well drinks.
He has at least five televisions with sports channels for this winter with "snacks" to keep the customers drinking. He will also have his nightly
dinner "specials".
There will still be a lot of improvements that will still need to be made. But his focus now needs to be to get this place open and making money.
The rest will happen as he gets through the winter.
He has already had a number of cars stop and ask if, and when, he will open. This is a really good sign!! While I was there a girl came in and asked
if he was hiring. She spoke impecable English and Spanish and had experience. So he is, again, in a perfect visible location."

I sure wish him the best as always, this new move should be totally in his favor, no stairs/ramps to climb, cuota/free road easy access and the
Cantamar community next door, I predict this is a very positive move for him.
PS, just hope he gets the thatch roof sealed well before the rains....
