The wife and I and possibly others will be headed south from Oregon around the first part of december for 4-6 weeks to once again become Baja Nomads.
Our plan is to head south past Ensenada and then slow down and enjoy all the stops along the way until we reach Cabo, then slooooowly head back
towards the border. I'm reading the posts on here almost daily and it seems that the reports on all of the violence have dropped of significantly. We
are seasoned Baja travellers and we know how to fly under the radar and we tend to stay in places like RV parks or Tecolote where everybody keeps an
eye on each other, but I was wondering if there is any places we should exercise a little more caution.

Hate to have to tell you this, but Tecolote has been a real problem the last few years, as far as theft goes.. Getting worse every year. You're
thinking right to stay close to others there, but don't leave ANYTHING out at night, and make sure you are locked up, when you walk the beach or go
swimming.

So Frizkie should I be concerned about the equipment I have in my boat? I can lock it but the locks aren't really going to stop anyone if they want to
get in. We also have our BIG dog (about 100#) he's really a pussy but if you here him bark you would never know. We would really like to spend some
time at Tecolote so we just need to be informed about what to expect. Steve

I can't say enough about the great security and convenient location of the Rivera del Mar Trailer park in Loreto.
They have a clean laundromat, a very nice restaurant, and are a short walk to the beach and/or town square.
They are also dog friendly (he needs to be tethered, but within reason) and have internet access which will probably work in your RV. I have paid from
$18 per night for short term, to $300 per month for long term.

And the restaurant on site has the best breakfasts in Loreto.
