Credit card exp date?

CP - 10-10-2009 at 01:03 PM

My Mexican credit card expires 11/09.
Knowing that dates written here are normally year/month/day, but not wanting to assume, would you know if this exp date be Sept 2011 or 2011 Sept?

Your card expires November 2009

Looks as though it could be either November 2009 or September 2011.

Dates in Mexico are normally written day, month, year (like Europe and most other parts of the world except the US/Can) - although in San Felipe the American influence is so strong the dates are often reversed.

Not year, month, day (just used in parts of east Asia and the ISO 8601 international "standard").

For example a CFE bill, and a BC Driver's License, both have day, month (in words), then year.

Even then, the expiry date on credit cards is the same worldwide (mm/yy), even in Asia, would cause mass confusion otherwise!
