Jim
It was a holiday weekend - maybe someone took the day off.meme - 10-13-2009 at 09:15 AM
Yes it was a holiday week end plus the big Petes Camp Oker run so was a very busy week end. Keep trying, you will get an answer from someone at the
Net possibly. They have some listings on that site also I believe.
How about Juliets Condos? The name & number is on the Net WEb site.David K - 10-13-2009 at 09:32 AM

Dont be Cheap!! With prices like this rent someones house. Way better- http://www.vacationrentals.com/jimgrms - 10-13-2009 at 12:28 PM
Mexicorn i plan on staying for the winter about 20 weeks at a cheap 500 a week lolDavid K - 10-13-2009 at 04:15 PM
Tell whoever you contact you want a long term / 5 month rental rate... The place is dead and hurting for business (Mexico)... so bargain for a deal
you can live with. Less money is still better than no money to any business!Bajahowodd - 10-13-2009 at 04:21 PM
Exactly. $2000 a month is ridiculous in the present economy.Donjulio - 10-13-2009 at 04:56 PM
Jim - right now if you just come to town you will find LOTS of rentals. Ground floor - decent and inexpensive. There are a lot of new properties
built. However - the quicker you get here the better. They are re-opening the mine and are hiring 800 people. My understanding is half are from here
and they are bringing in the other half. So that half will be renting.Mexicorn - 10-13-2009 at 09:30 PM

week after offering the owner half the asking place. Its Shrimp time jimgrms - 10-14-2009 at 05:39 AM

Everyone is saying mexico is hurting (no tourist) i have tried all the websites and got 1 response and that was that all the rentals they had were
in percubu. It appears to me that there is nobody in town with a available rental in townso ' if folks would list there rentals om the SF website
maybe someone could find them.So guess i will spend the winter in key west

maybe sea level rose and wiped out their 'puters.
are you emailing to brokers or owners?
i find that many people in mexico check their email infrequently. give it time, and don't expect people to check their email daily or even weekly.
if you still got ants in your pants, pick up the phone and call the advertiser.vandenberg - 10-21-2009 at 02:08 PM

What did I do? LOL
I provided a link to one of the many San Felipe area rental people... If you have another or a better link, please post here!
Nomads are supposed to help other Nomads, right?

Most places that Americans and Canadians own are not in town. There are many places for rent that are outside of town.
Seems a realtor might be your best bet to rent in town.

Go there. You will find something. The internet doesn't work for everything, jeez!meme - 10-22-2009 at 08:34 AM
Many of the Mexican owners do no have computers much less web sites for their rentals. so it would be best to just come here & take a look and ask
around. With the Americans & Canadians you just might not find a place for $500 a month & that might just be why you are not getting many
replies.Lindalou - 10-22-2009 at 09:56 AM
He said $500 a week.David K - 10-22-2009 at 04:52 PM
Part of the excitement of Baja to many of us is not having all the details ironed out... go on faith, you will have a great time. Planning everthing
and keeping to a ridgid schedule just doen't work in Mexico. Come to San Felipe get a motel room fior a couple nights so you can check out all the
rentals. I see signs for rentals as I drive into/ out of town heading south... If you want to be IN town... Have you been to San Felipe before...? It
is no Key West... If Key West is the back up, what did you expect to find in San Felipe? BAJA IS FOR ADVENTURE... expect to rough it a bit, go with
the flow, learn the word maņana (it doesn't mean tomorrow... it just means not today!).meme - 10-23-2009 at 12:39 PM
Ooop! sorry bout that! I thought it was $500 a month! Well, I'm reasonably SURE you can easily find a place for that in SF! I know of whole houses you
could rent for $500 a week!bajalou - 10-23-2009 at 04:02 PM
Most people in town that rent apartments do not use the realtors or the internet. You need to be there and ask around. The suggestion to get a motel
for a couple days is, I believe a good one. You probably would be able to come up with something suitable.,Donjulio - 10-23-2009 at 04:59 PM
As I originally mentioned. There are lots of rentals "in town" in San Felipe right now. I know where there is a beautiful furnished two bedroom condo
for $500 a month that includes utilities, propane and satellite tv. Two blocks from the malecon.
There are plenty in all price ranges. I could find you something for less than $200 a month if you wanted (not great).
But people are right. They aren't advertised and they aren't "gringo rentals". Some are really nice, some are not. Just depends on what you want. But
most are inexpensive.wornout - 10-25-2009 at 07:30 AM
I think he will enjoy Key West. If he is there, we won't run in to him at a restaurant demanding faster service or making a scene at a local
establishment because something doesn't live up to his internet standard world.jimgrms - 10-26-2009 at 08:30 AM
all i wanted to do was get a idea on what's available in town without making a 2600 mile round trip ; so wornout you can kiss my wrinkled old burro
