Having a bad hair day

Face is itching.

Imagine scratching your face with these!

Those are fabulous Diane. You are really making that camera dance! The eye is sooo sharp in that first "bad hair day" image. ++Ken++

Thanks to the three of you----really glad you enjoy the pix.

Ken, the eye, yes I always hear the eye is most important and sometimes I get lucky.

Diane I had that "eye" thing drilled into me by several professional nature photographers years ago and never forgot it. When there's time and opportunity I actually try to focus right on the eye, I am convinced it makes a more dramatic and interesting image. Something about how our brain works...anyway love your photos. Are you in Asuncion? ++Ken++

Now, it would be much easier to focus on the eye if we could just convince birds and other animals to HOLD STILL.

Yes, we are in Asuncion right now and for the first time, we have internet at our house---wireless from the Internet Cafe and thanks to some really nice neighbors who have allowed a repeater on their roof.

Just returned from town and there was a big old Raven sitting on a pole in our yard---I tried to get the camera because he was posed well for a good close up and I really want to be able to capture some good pix of black birds----they and all white birds are a real challenge.

When do we get to see more of your underwater trips?

I miss them a lot.

Thanks for that Diane. I still do a dive in Morro Bay at least once a month now but unless I find something really unusual I usually don't post here. The last "major" trip I did was in July to play with sand tiger sharks on the North Carolina shipwrecks (bucket list thing), I think I already posted this one here, but they are so magnificent....what the heck:

You can't plan something as good as that Ken. It has to be your daughter's all time favorite too. What an experience and you captured the moment!

Awesome pics DianaT. I was very happy yesterday to see an osprey floating over my house in Carlsbad. Sometimes nature comes back. How cool is that?

Thanks, and that is great! We recently say one sitting on a short pole on the outer edge of the Tijuana Estuary in Imperial Beach---it was right by the road----of course, I did not have my camera with me.

But we were surprised to see him there and will be looking for him again.
