Of the two (1967 & 1941) which one sounds like a better story of the discovery of Santa Isabel?

My vote is the 1967 story as it sounds the most unlikely one, which is most likely the true one...

The 1941 story seems to carry a better element of "believability" to me. The old missions shared a close relationship with the Indians and the way the
story was carried down just rings true to me...
