I have been reflecting on all the amazing visitors we have had the pleasure of meeting over the last few years.
I would like to thank you for enriching our lives with your presence, your music, stories, suggestions, support, and love have all added to our
happiness here in Asuncion.
Once in awhile I hear rumblings of the negative effects of tourism but most of all I hear the thankfulness of the merchants here where visitors shop.
Guests are generous with their gifts to local families and kids and new relationships have been forged between the cultures...it has been very
positive addition to the community in my opinion.
The new good road has brought some even better people!
And I gotta tell ya...our quality of life has certainly taken a turn for the better...why just this week, guests have generously left behind things of
haut cuisine like feta cheese, organic pasta, artichokes, home smoked bacon, fancy crackers, peanut butter filled pretzels, wasabi, Baileys, good
winem dvd's....well...you get the picture....
anyway amigos....and you know who you all are...mil gracias for your visits and being who you are!

you guys are great folks, too! it seems Nomads flock together....BajaWarrior - 11-15-2009 at 01:46 PM
A trip further south than we usually travel is always in the works, we enjoyed the shell collecting quite a bit while staying in BA...woody with a view - 11-15-2009 at 01:53 PM
i know the place!
woody with a view - 11-15-2009 at 01:55 PM
i kept telling Bia how cool it would be to gather up a truckload of these shells and create a pathway through a yard or garden.
and this isn't even the beach that was FULL of shells for 3 miles in both directions..... we'll keep that one to ourselves, unless you've already been
there you gotta find it on your own!

I see your shells and raise you one more...
I guess we were fascinated by them as well, as they were literally everywhere!
Did you see the shells with the holes drilled in them? Shari told us there was a factory of sorts in the area that punched buttons out of the clam
shells. We made a Mobile out of them, but it was kinda boring because they didn't move much...Well, we heard them one night rattling
around...CHUBASCO!!

Gotta have that Baileys for the morning coffee, huh Shari? Me too, every day. When I make it there, I will bring wasabi and thai chili paste. What a
bite! Sushi that makes your eyes water.David K - 11-16-2009 at 12:36 PM

THANKS (I think?)!
Here's my plate without as much of me in it!
bajabass - 11-16-2009 at 02:32 PM
All right, now my stomach is growling. Try a Thai or Vietnamese chili paste with that. Like salsa, but more. Actually found out about it at California
Pizza Kitchen. I love wasabi, but this taste is out there. Only a little at first, very spicy. Have Kleenex and Pacifico ready!! Shari, the gifts of
people, and the gifts they bring is a indication that you are loved by many!!!Sharksbaja - 11-16-2009 at 02:36 PM
Of course she is loved. Doesn't make us any less celoso.bajabass - 11-16-2009 at 02:40 PM
