The first time I had my granddaughter down there she spotted him on a liquor store window and cracked up at him every day!
Another year I was down there for Christmas and the liquor store gave me a calendar for the upcoming year (guess I might be a pretty good customer).
I've cherished it ever since and every year I print a new annual calendar, attach it to the picture and it still hangs in my home office. Makes me

Guess I'm showing where I'm learning my Spanish from if pistiar is "very slang"...I hear it all the time with my hubby and his family. I won't share
some of the other words they use (and in mixed company)!
I tell my husband that his daughters are going to grow up with a pretty vulgar Spanish vocabluary...but at least they'll be bilingual, huh?!?!

"Pisto" is used throughout Central America, where it means "money". "No tango pisto", means "I don't have any money".
"Pista" is an entirely different word. It means a trail, path or a road. "Autopista" is "freeway".
"Pistear" has different meanings in different countries. In Mexico it means to hang out with your buddies and drink.
