Just thought I'd mention that I crossed on foot (returned) at SY last night at 10:30. There were only 2-3 cars per lane and no one ahead of me
walking through.DENNIS - 11-19-2009 at 02:10 PM

You must have snuck through during a bomb-threat.

It was pretty jammed up approaching the border at 2:00 p.m. yesterday. I think they were looking for the 46" Samsung in the back of my car. Sailed
right through once we got to border.alafrontera - 11-19-2009 at 03:44 PM

Hmm... wise words, but if it doesn't go beyond the Nomads I think I'll be safe.

Same thing tonight crossing at 10:15. Virtual ghost town. The lack of tourism has a snowball effect. The fewer people that go, the fewer want to
go. Frankly it's a lot less fun when you can't avoid the aggressive types, you can't "blend in to the crowd". You are the crowd. I found
myself really losing both my patience and my temper tonight. NO, I don't want to buy that ! NO, I don't want my shoes shined! NO, I don't want any
weed! NO! NO! NO!
It gets tiresome. I go to see my girl so it's like I'm going to stop, but I can easily see how people going "for fun" may seek other forms of
entertainment. It's sad.
