While we are on the topic of National Geographic, I've been waiting for the right opportunity to mention my big find. (at least a big find to me)
Last month at work as I was digging through a box of old and some moldy magazines. I was hunting photos to cut out for color work for our toddlers.
Unfortunately I didn't pay attention to the contents listed on the cover of the November 1980 issue. After cutting out a few photos of red objects I
continued flipping pages until I landed on "Baja's Murals of Mystery" by Harry Crosby.
Years ago I had the opportunity to attend a lecture at the Southwest Museum of the American Indian in Los Angeles, and now I was holding Harry
Crosby's article in my hands.
I wish I hadn't already cut up the magazine, but I did.
I saved it from being futher chopped to pieces and have it now in my baja collection.
Thanks for the opportunity to bring it up.
