This was Rick D Johnson and not the MX and SX champion. At least that is what I was told at the race. I know the MX/SX racer by face.

In the world of off road racing there are three Rick Johnson's and they are the following:
Barstow - Rick Johnson / owner-driver of the GT Trophy Truck...
Hesperia - Rick Johnson / ex-owner and Pro Truck Champion, now races Trophy Lites
Trabuco Canyon - Rick(Y) Johnson / the MX Supercross Champion and co-owner of the short course TORC Series, where he also races the Red Bull Pro 2 for
Steve Barlow
(interesting note, Hesperia Rick Johnson is one of the main forces on the Barstow Rick Johnson Trophy Truck team and Hesperia RJ owns a 10-room beach
front hotel in San Jose del Cabo...)
all three of them are the nicest guys around...down to earth and great racers.
