WOW.....no heads, no bodies. In fact, the primary shooter shares an uncanny skill just like yours, Rico; to shoot so many shots in the middle of a crowded city in the middle of the day without showing people. [are they all hiding?] The baseball field has the largest crowd.
Nice to see the better-off side of Tijuana.

really great

I know most of you don't get around TJ much so I thought you might enjoy these. Yes, they do present the better parts of the city.

Tijuana Photos

For what it's worth, I saw the real TJ just about three weeks ago and all I wanted to do was stop the car and get out and "absorb" what I saw..

It was a Native American city... I was getting things set up for people that want to come see us, but are afraid to "drive" in Mexico (now that is another story/book there). Have them walk across then take a taxi from the border to a Pemex station and we will be there to pick them and their luggage up and take them back to the house.... so they not kidnapped, the wife raped, car stolen, wallet taken, pig flue, and others...

But back to the Native American city... I had gotten of Mex1 on Revolution, the first time, I went to the Fire Station and you have to make a right turn to get over to Juarze, just two blocks down. But this time, rather than go straight to the fire station, made a right at the stop sign... and ended up on a one way street that took us to "down town" TJ. My son later told me, hey Dad that's were I go..

It was around 9 a.m. and the place was "alive" literally.. there were native americans all over the place, they did not look like Mexican's to me they looked like a city of Native Americans... I saw something I had never seen before... it was a different culture, totally... there was a "hoocie coochie" gal (that's what the wife calls them) doing her thing right there on the sidewalk. No one even looked at her, the police certainly did not pay her any attention... and all the people.. it was just so different than some mall in the States, or just about any city I have seen in many, many years, this was not main street U.S.A or just about any other city I have been in for a long time.

There was a "feel" that just emanted from the street and people "it was alive".

I really can't explain it, and I could not get to my camera to take a picture, as I was dodging traffic. Pomano is right, you have to drive Bonzi... if you make them think you are "crazier then them" they will back off... but, the slightest sign of hesitation (weakness) and your dead meat.

In anticpacian of my entry into this world, on the advice of both my wife and son, I have gotten some clothes which will not make me stand as much as a "gringo" a simple plaid chit, kaki pants, white socks and tennis shoes and a straw hat... plus I'm bring my son down for muscle... he comes to this part of town all the time, he likes it and knows the people in the area... and can take care of his old man.. with a cane hobbling around in TJ. Plus he wants to show me around "his" stomping grounds.

He wants to get an apartment here, he say's that T.J. is like the New York City of the West Coast... he likes the noise, the kindness of the people, the food, the drink the action the hustle, all of it... and now after seeing it... so do I at this time .. it is a different Country and these are the native people of Mexico living their lives today. It was quite a sight for me... I don't get out too much anymore, trying to remedy this as much as I can.

As for me, yesterday I bought a new Nikon camera from Costco (they let you return for three months, I will be checking out a Canon too) and want to see what I can get going foreword in pictures of things in Mexico... there is a lot to see that most do not, just from stupid fears about the Mexican people and where they live..

For us, looks like good food, good people, and many good times.. life is great, enjoy how ever you like to...

And thanks k-rico.. you have been a excellent source for many, many straight up answers on lots of stuff, keep it up... and I had taken pictures of some of the Trees also along Heros, as I did not remember trees in TJ 40 years ago.. but at that time.. was in a 57 VW driving blasting along not really looking at much

Going much slower and enjoying much more

I'm just finding another Country again, after 40 years... and it was right next door:lol::lol:
