Bahia Conception-Wi Fi

absinvestor - 12-2-2009 at 01:09 PM

You guys (and gals) have given me great info on camping at Bahia Conception and general info on Wi-Fi when in Baja. The information is greatly appreciated!! We plan to stay at Bahia Conception for two or three weeks and since we travel in a larger motorhome and don't bring a tow we will probably not leave once situated in a camp site. Does anybody know if Ana's Restaurant (or any other close place) has wi-fi. Thanks again. Ron

No AT&T phone or wi-fi last time I was there in April 09. I had to drive half way back to Mulege on a high point overlooking Mulege to get phone service.

This'll be good

When we lived there Russ (Anas) had the internet, had to turn on his generator so it was usually in the evening. No phone service. I can no longer reach him by email so don't know if he has it anymore or not.

Nearest e-mail service will be Mulege at internet places. The people on the beach have theirs secured because of limited usage . As campers and sailboats
tend to use up their megabytes and they get shut down

Would you 1. reconsider a tow-vehicle so you can get in to town, or 2. appreciate your remote vacation spot on the Bay and enjoy being out of touch of civilization for awhile.

If you do get in to town, there are one or two Internet stores or check with Las Casitas restaurant. You may be allowed their code if you dine with them.

There are three restaurants and two internet shops in Mulege that I know of.
So internet is no problem

you can park in front of our house in mulege and use ours...#54 in the oasis

Hi Ron..there are a few of us in the Bay with wifi. If you are not too far away from Coyote Bay, bring your laptop and check your mail while having coffee on my patio. (You're not a Russian hacker, are you?)

An Internet Cafe setup has been discussed at some of the Bay's beach cafes...but, hey..it's Baja...

the idea 'might' become a reality before the technology goes extinct.

Thanks. We have considered towing our car but the hook-up etc seems like a hassle. (Probably since we have no experience with it.) As for the two offers to use Wi-Fi ie #54 and the patio your offers are much appreciated. When on vacation, we only use the internet to transfer money and pay a couple of bills that won't allow automatic payments etc so won't be online for long periods of time. Thanks again to all. Ron
