Sunset in El Pescador 12/08/09

Just want to say something about a little place, "The El Pescador Restaurant", which we have now eaten at 6 times, in the past month.

So far we have tried: Turkey Dinner with all the trimmings, Taco's Carbon, Taco Dinner, Lobster dinner, Chicken Freitas, Beef Freitas, plus their Chili Relleno, Enchiladas, Tamales, beans, rice, and their Pico de Gallo Salsa all have been really very good..

I have been eating Mexican food for a while, but not as long as my wife (who is Hispanic) but a while, and this is some of the best food I have even eaten..

The cook, who I'm going to go back and shake his/her hand the next time.. never fails to put something out that He/She can be "proud" of...

Even the salad's are treat.. there is "presentation" and a balanced amount of items to where you get a taste, but your not overwhelmed by anyone thing.. this can be said about all of the items prepared for the meal..

When we first got to El Pescador.. we had our first meal while getting to the entrance, I took a bit of a detour (which my wife keep telling me not to look, get away).. but I wanted to see the kitchen.. and I did...

I saw a "kitchen" that was spotless.. all the decks were clean and ship shape, the counters (all stainless steel) were immaculate and all dishes and cooking utensils were put away.. no trash, or food debris .. this kitchen would pass a Health Inspection in the United States.. and I have some knowledge and practical experience in the area.

I will just close with this.. if you get a chance .. stop in for a meal, you will not be disappointed.. and tell them Wiley sent you.. if they don't know me by that .. just say the guy that ate a Turkey Dinner and a Mexican dinner on Thanks Giving..

They are at KM 44.5 on the old road. South bound and North bound on the toll road you exit at the Puerto Nuevo off ramp and take the old road South about mile on the right at the 4 way stop and the OXXO store.

You can get back to the South bound toll road in Primo Tapia.. about 2-4 miles

not sure on the hours for breakfast, but I asked about menudo and was told I could get some at 8 AM.. but have not been out for breakfast yet.. the wife fixes menudo at the house, along with other things in the morning thus far.. can't beat a good woman
