Has anyone been along the road between Estanislao and San Jose de Magdalena since Jimena? What's the chance the road is open and driveable? Which
direction is better?
Thanks for the input.KurtG - 12-11-2009 at 03:21 PM

Friends in San Jose de Magdelena told a buddy of mine when he visited them last week that the road in not passible at present. I will be checking it
out with the bike near the end of the month.elfbrewery - 12-12-2009 at 11:52 AM
Thanks. Lemme know the conditions when you can. Would like to make a trip in the next 3 weeks in the area. I'm also looking at going out to Rancho San
Sebastian to the NW of there. Hope you have a fun ride!KurtG - 12-12-2009 at 12:29 PM

Last Spring when I was riding back there the road to San Sebastian was being upgraded but I think the hurricane did a lot of damage which has not been
repaired yet. I have friends at Rcho San Isidro about 10 miles west of San Jose de Magdelena and they reported that most of the roads in that part of
the Sierra are very bad.
