ATM in Vizcaino at the bank (across from the old PEMEX)

There is a free-standing ATM at the very south end of town in Vizcaino
One of the last buildings on the right heading south

I also noted that the new Pemex south of town in Vizcaino takes credit cards!! and they have premium gas there too...rojo. The second little ATM machine is at the Sta.Marta packing plant...little glass room there by the entrance gates to the plant.
It's best to fill up in Vizcaino as gas is a bit more expensive in Asuncion.

Ever wonder why no one is ever at the new PEMEX and the old one is full?

Went in a couple of times (you are right. only one for miles with Premium, which we need for one of the bikes) Asked for 18 liters and about the 15 liter mark the pump shuts ff. Asked for the manager and he says he can't do anything about it. Last time I got the camera out. Said I was sending a picture to PEMEX. He gave me the extra liters.

Now I try to get the premium up in BC north.

Same guy that owns the station in Mulege from what the locals tell me.

2 years ago, on the way to Asuncion, I stopped at the ATM at the bank in Vizcaino.
In my haste, I left my card in the machine - oh crap !!
When I went back the next week, the card was nowhere to be found.
The bank lady was very nice and assured me that all "found" cards are destroyed immediately.
I could only hope.
There were never any charges or attempts to use the card !
Yippee !!

Twice I have stopped at the "guard shack" ATM at the far end of town and each time, there have been 2 young boys that come out on their bikes and repeatedly say "money ?". I have given them chocolate but no money. I really wish my spanish was better as I have wanted to ask them about their lives and to make us "gringos" seem less foreign to them.
Has anyone else met these 2 boys ?

The "old" Pemex in Vizcaino has always seemed to give fair fill-ups.
And the tacos, flute player and fruit sellers are a nice added experience.

Ralph: I'm not understanding. Are you saying you had an 18 liter tank and it was full at 15? No, that can't be as you would have been charged less and the station would be out. Or are you saying that you asked for a certain peso amount that corresponded to 18 liters and when the pump reached that peso amount the quantity was only 15?

Amen there Diver

Santiago in my haste I did not make it clear.

Most of the local off-road racers have to use this station for premium. Since I have had suspicions about prior fill-ups of cans and barrels. I now ask for a certain amount in liters. When I asked for 18 liters to be put n the 5 gallon fuel jug, the pump read 18 liters but the fuel jug only had 15 liters in it. The jugs have markings in liters and gallons. In my 30 gallon fuel barrels this can really add up. I try and fill up a 30 gallon barrel if I am in San quintin (or North) or sometimes the coop truck will bring down fuel for us.

There is absolutely no ATM in San Ignacio. if you are going farther, they have them in Santa Rosalia.

There has been mention of nefarious business practices at the newer Pemex in Vizcaino on older threads.
