This was the General that ran with his own legs around the flank of a 50 Caliber Machine Gun Nest in a surprise attack, killing the three operators
all by himself. He then turned the Machine Gun against the army of Pancho Villa just as they were attacking. 3000 thousand people died that day in
one of the most decisive battles of the Mexican Revolution. It was known as the Battle of Celeya. He built this house in the 1930's after he
finished his term as President. I think it should be preserved as a tourist attraction. What do you think? Sorry the commentary is in Spanish, but
you'll get the idea.ELINVESTIG8R - 1-2-2010 at 10:54 AM

And today, his grandson runs Las Cruces in B.C.S.lizard lips - 1-2-2010 at 11:59 AM
After you pass through the last toll going south to Ensenada the house is on the left side of the road. I spoke with the grandson of President
Rodriguez who took care of the home several years ago and he said they didn't have the money to restore it so the family decided to rent it out as a
high school. The grandson showed me photos of several heads of state that visited the home as well as a photo of Al Capone who stayed for a few weeks.
I was there about 2 years ago and it is in pretty bad condition. Beautiful home at one time.DENNIS - 1-2-2010 at 12:29 PM
Too bad. I think they even tried a restaurant there a long time back.
Lots of places named for the ex-pres...Rodriguez Intl. Airport and Rodriguez Dam in Tijuana to name a couple. I haven't counted but, there's
probably thirty million streets that have his name also.lbinlb - 1-2-2010 at 06:38 PM
