SAN DIEGO—A magnitude 4.0 earthquake has struck Baja California, hours after a smaller quake about 100 miles away was felt north of the border in San
Diego County.
The U.S. Geological Survey says the second earthquake struck at 4:02 p.m. Sunday near Rosarita, about 40 miles south of San Diego. It's unclear if it
was felt in the U.S.
A magnitude 3.1 quake struck at 9:35 a.m. Sunday at Guadalupe Victoria, a small farming community about 115 miles southeast of San Diego. There were
no reports of damage or injuries.
On Wednesday, a magnitude 5.8 quake in the same location and rattled parts of San Diego, Los Angeles, Las Vegas and Phoenix.
