7 ft satellite dish for sale

Lauriboats - 1-5-2010 at 11:29 AM

We have a 7 ft satellite dish for direct TV or dish network for sale. Located near Mulege. $150.00.

Mexicorn - 1-5-2010 at 11:51 AM

Good Luck

Lauriboats - 1-5-2010 at 11:55 AM

Why good luck? These are great for Baja and they are $700.00 new from the mainland. It is a great deal if someone has direct TV and want to get the channels.

Mexicorn - 1-5-2010 at 11:57 AM

Sure that the ticket!

I offer $149.99! I love a bargain.

Pompano - 1-5-2010 at 03:37 PM

Laurie...consider it sold. I'll retrace my steps back to my Baja haunt in a couple weeks.

I'm in the land of pizza, seatbelts, and concerts on the bay right now, but I'll be back to my Baja haunt in a couple weeks.

Pompano - 1-5-2010 at 04:12 PM

Dennis...you got it.

Great place..great music...great food.

And...I can smell the tide from here.

Like my old unle Ole from Norway always says...

A juventud ociosa, vejez trabajosa!

Lauriboats - 1-5-2010 at 04:52 PM

You got it Roger, this dish is really big and with the mount it's heavy, but I think that you and Jim will be able to handle it. We had it shipped over from mainland Mexico a couple of years ago, used it last season and received all of the direct TV channels with it.

BajaWarrior,

Fillippis is fine with me, along with Woodcutter's, but my alltime favorite in San Diego is the relatively new Bronx Pizza Inc. It's about as close as you're gonna get to true New York 'pie' on the West Coast.

Thin crust ..so you can fold it over, as it was meant to be eaten.

Juicy hot..you're gonna make a mess.

We had one yesterday and the memory still lingers....

Thanks for the tip, we'll have to look it up and give it a try!

Bajaboy - 1-5-2010 at 09:46 PM

Pizza Port-hands down....great pizza and award winning beer....remember the Left Coast is the best coast!

Pizza on the Left Coast

Pompano - 1-6-2010 at 07:44 AM

Hey, I love the beers and the setting at Pizza Port, but forgetta bout it! for any chance of getting a real pizza. I don't want wheat crusts, sun-dried tomatoes and gooey sauce anywhere near my pie. The gulls ate the crusts, but left the rest.

Been a pizza addict since it was breakfast as a freshman in college..nothing like a cold pepperoni & Schlitz to get the day going. Have tested pizzas everywhere I have traveled since..as one thing stands out. If you've never eated pizza in Hoboken, then you will never know what real 'pie' is.

California's 'left' coast pizza is okay, but cannot compare to back east..the right coast.

Just as New York's Mexican and hamburger joints fall short of California's. Nothing beats 'the original'.

Like I said, I love Bronx pizza, although it was clearly much better when it first opened back in 1997. The owners were more passionate then about putting thier personalities into the pie...today they are leaving it up to neophytes, who, while good, are not truly as expert as the original makers.

Another great pizza in San Diego is Luigi's in Golden Hills on 25st. It might even be better than Bronx nowadays. They still pay personal attention in making their pies.

Hey Laurie...did you ever think that advertising a satellite dish would generate a pizza review??

My personal best pizza places in San Diego area are:

1. Luigi's & Bronx tied for first place..so far.
2. Fillipis Pizza Grotto
3. Uptown Cafe ... surprisingly good.
4. Venice Pizza Parlor..for old time's sake..and thick crust.
5. Woodstock's Pizza

For all the cold Pacifico you can drink, bring a couple large pepperoni from any of these places to Coyote Bay. ;D

gnukid - 1-6-2010 at 11:38 AM

I have a brand new 1.2 or 1.3 dish in La Paz with install mounts, dual LNB, a box of cable and connectors for install for $200 too.... It will work for standard definition in BCS.

tripledigitken - 1-6-2010 at 11:44 AM

Roger,

While spending time in East County getting your rig fixed, if you find you need a Pizza fix, try Gaetanos on Campo Rd in Casa de Oro.

getting one like that already there is a huge good deal.

Lauriboats - 1-6-2010 at 06:31 PM

It is a great deal on the dish and I'm sure that roger knows it.

Hi Ken,

The La Mesa tranny shop got me all fixed up and I am good to go. Manana we head for the frozen wilderness Up North and will take some time to go ice-fishing through 3 feet of frozen lake, then returning to the sunny beaches of Baja. I will certainly try Gaetanos on the return trip within ten days or so.

Let's have a couple of cold ones on that rebound!

Hi Diane, you will love either Luigi's or Bronx for that super slice of thin crust. Fold it and drip juice all over. Finest kind.

Hi Laurie,

Yup, the pizza here is OUTstanding. I will bring you one from the pizza place of your choice. I'll throw one of my favorites into the mix and we can have them both on my patio. Checkered tablecloth, candelight, some good red, and....
we can dress Jim in a fancy Italian outfit and give him a violin.

What's your flavor?

Mike, you should have been in Coyote when we hauled down the first big C-Band satellite dish back in the day. It was a monster..a giant mesh 20 footer centered on a 15 metal pole. I strung hundreds of feet of coax and hooked up all the neighbors in Coyote Bay. What fun! We got about a jillion channels. The only thing was...they all had to watch what I was watching at the time because I had the only control remote.

Was fun discussing last night's late, late movies over our communtiy morning coffees on the patio.
Say, I wonder if my Playboy XXX subscription is still good? :saint:

Capital idea, Bajaboy!

I think BajaNomads should sponser a pizza contest in San Diego.

But just two of us cannot judge for all..we must have more volunteers!

And.....I'll buy the first round of beers.

Bajaboy - 1-6-2010 at 10:17 PM

I'll bet El Gato Loco might be interested. Maybe we should start a separate post.
