Update on Villa Group at Ensenada Blanca

bajabeachbabe - 1-10-2010 at 06:02 PM

I had a good laugh when I read this update on the construction of the Villa del Palmar at Ensenada Blanca.

"Loreto Construction Update - Currently, construction is
focusing on the walls of the Lobby and the Restaurant. Over the next
few days work will begin on the access road. Further, much of the
installation of the steel, wood forms for slab and pouring of concrete
will take place over the next several weeks. Once opened late
2010, members will bask in Loreto’s tranquil village setting, friendly
people and scenic beauty. The Sierra la Giganta mountain range
overlooks the town and creates breath taking panoramic vistas. Or,
take a short walk to downtown Loreto and enjoy a multitude of local
restaurants and shops."

A SHORT WALK TO TOWN??????? WANT TO TRY ABOUT 30 MILES???:o

Nice to see that they are using the tried and true old timeshare selling technique (lying) on their members.

Yeah, it sounds like somebody who's never been on the site wrote it.

So this pitch is aimed at people who might buy before visiting Loreto, as opposed to Loreto tourists they invite to tour the project?

Where did you find the update?

That description might fit their other project on the circle on Salvatierra next to Domingo's Place!

Look for a boom in the taxi industry!

I used to work for them 15 yrs ago, the owners showed up at the company Xmas party, it was like the Scarface reunion party.

:lol::lol: They have been very successful up to now. It will be interesting with the current project. Just seems to me to be wrong place, wrong time.

And Paula could be correct. If they are pitching the Ensenada Blanca project to people who are already (satisfied) owners at their other projects, could happen. But, only an idiot would buy sight unseen.

I was actually thinking of new "investors" in the US and Canada. And I too think only a fool would buy something they've never seen, and in fact does not yet exist.

JESSE, I think sales office here in Loreto has that same vibe. They can be really assertive:lol:

After looking at your avatar for a few minutes, I have to ask.
Where did you find those mushrooms?

I was very surprised when they "chose" Loreto for their next project. They usually pick locations where theres fast growth, high traffic. But i guess Loreto serves other means.

Bajahowodd - 1-11-2010 at 03:36 PM

Alot probably depends on how many units they have left at their other projects. Gotta believe that the Loreto area land was considerably less expensive than anything they may have considered in Los Cabos. They've already packed projects along the fourlane. Including some rebuild projects such as the old Twin Dolphin and Hotel Cabo San Lucas properties. Of course, the new projects build higher and pack more rooms into existing space. I have to admit to having gone on a presentation at Villas del Palmar years ago. It wasn't my cup of tea. Even though it's on the beach, they also have rooms facing the other way, allowing for an unobstructed view of Sam's Club!

Paula is correct about the veteran salespeople. Especially during tough economic times. They must be assertive or they starve.
