No point- the California/Rosarito Beach Mexican interviewed answered it perfectly:
"The problem is that we Mexicans are cowards," Saldivar said. His countrymen, he said, are too passive and fearful before the power of drug-financed
gangs.
The video is a contrast to the story. Starts of with what I hope is misinformation "1000 drug related deaths in Baja since 2008". They keep up the
crime angle with a couple that feels safe and relaxed in Rosarito- but think every panga going by their house is running drugs. The "we don't live in
TJ and we wouldn't live in bad parts of LA" attitude then leads to a bunch of ex-pats who live a normal retiree lifestyle (more or less). One lady
has called Rosarito her home for decades and can't order a half kilo of beef in Spanish.
Overall the two together are "Rosarito neutral" IMHO.

Video? Gee. Thanks for mentioning it. The article is new. I read it yesterday in the print edition of the paper. The video has been around for awhile,
and I wonder why the LA Times decided to hook the two up together. The article dealt with Mexican-Americans who have dual citizenship. The video, on

For the LA Times headline, I was a little insulted by their selections. That poor lady was going about her business decked out like I had never seen.
She was brave to be out driving around without a person riding shotgun, but I guess if you are older and dress crazy in a foreign country- people see
you coming and give you more space. Maybe they think she is a foreign gypsy who will ask for them for spare change?
