While the holidays are over, Wildomar Rotarians have kept up their Christmas spirit and continue to spread their cheer.
Hundreds of orphaned children from Tijuana and northern Baja California received donated gifts earlier this month from the Wildomar Rotary Club.
For weeks over the holidays, Rotarians collected toys by the truck loads from community members and local business to distribute to the children at an
arena in Tijuana.
For Karen Hobson, the club’s president, the delivery trip to Tijuana was unforgettable and two children out of the hundreds held a special place in
her heart.
“The 3-year-old boy clutching a baseball mitt to his chest with a smile that spanned the stadium and a little girl with a stuffed white rabbit that
was bigger than she was, held her head high as she left the event with her new treasure,” Hobson said.
Hobson said the toy delivery will be an annual event and the Wildomar Rotarians who participated have pledged to double their contributions for the
next trip.

I am wondering if they had any trouble getting it across the border without being taxed.
As for people donating to charitable organizations, they do it for the smiles!
This is a wonderful story.
