http://www.sanfelipelife.com
San Felipe Life aims to be (eventually) an "owner's manual" for life in San Felipe.
It has hints, tips, and step-by-step instructions for banking, phone/internet, utilities and so on. Intended more for a new long-term or part-time
resident rather than tourist.
Suggestions for new topics to cover (or complete articles) from readers are very welcome!
The site doesn't cover news or events (other sites do that), and doesn't yet have any pretty pictures! Just factual articles (if you spot any errors,
do let me know).

San Felipe site

Was interesting, especially liked the links to other sites about San Felipe. Have been going there for over 10 years and did not know about the other
web options.
Good information

Thanks for the comments!
Akshadow, yes I do try to link to the main San Felipe sites and some of the blogs. I certainly can't duplicate all they've built over the years, they
have a much wider range of information (although some is rather dated now). Later I'll build a more comprehensive local links page (which will be
basically a business directory).
Nancy, the Mexicali property tax site still does seem to be extremely unreliable. During the day on weekdays I think they have somebody sitting there
rebooting it every hour or so, in the evenings and weekends when it fails it usually doesn't work again until "business hours".

Added a new article yesterday:
Check your Telcel Amigo account online

Some other articles at http://www.sanfelipelife.com include:
Some of this is specific to San Felipe, but some of the information might be of interest elsewhere in Baja California, or Mexico.

I've just been updating my FM3 cards article:
http://bit.ly/aNGa38
There's a picture of the new card there, which is no longer called an FM-3.
Also a bit about how the FMM entry/exit form will need to be filled out by ALL non-Mexicans, including holders of the cards that replace an FM3.
Of course, there is likely an exception at the land borders or the border zone (at least for now), but, like the FME (red) form it replaces, it would
be needed for air travel.
So, does anybody have their card from any office in Baja yet?
Rob
P.S. also added an article showing San Felipe street views and a comparison of aerlal views.

I've started a new series of articles on San Felipe Life http://www.sanfelipelife.com following the progress of the building of an addition and a wall at my house in El Dorado Ranch, San Felipe.
There will probably be a new installment each week until it is (hopefully) finished - it's "A story of Construction" in the "construction" category.
Other recent articles include the new rules for changing dollars into pesos, and what the colors painted on curbs mean.

Week two of "A Story of Construction" is now online. Goes from bare earth to ready for the concrete pour.
