Web of Life Animal Rescue in La Mision needs your help!

We have lost our source of food donations without any notice. In fact, I was told when I went in for my scheduled (and confirmed) pick-up--leaving the dogs with 1 bag of food. This is a real crisis for these animals. There isn't enough money to cover the expense of their food. Food donation sources are getting harder and harder to find due to the problems with the economy.

The current population is: 54 adults (mostly large breeds)
11 pups under 6 months of age
9 puppies under 5 weeks of age (but eating)
6 cats

PLEASE!! The pups and adults alone require about 70 lbs per day, plus puppy and cat food. Per week, it breaks down to:

10 50-lb. bags for dogs and pups
1 20-lb. bag of puppy food
1 20-lb. bag of cat food (lasts 2 weeks)

With help from the community, these guys can be fed until homes are found for them.

Also, if you have room in your home and your heart to foster an animal until a permanent home can be found, that, too, would be a tremendous help.

Food can be left at Poco Cielo (Km. 59--next to La Fonda). If you can help, but don't have access to food, you can leave money either with Molly (646 155-0384) or Kathy Ferrel (646 155-0608)--Kathy will be making "food runs" to the States, the first one probably this Sunday.

Thank you for your help--both from me and from them--from the bottom of our hearts.
