Status of dirt road from La Mision to El Provenir?

Anyone take this road recently? Might do it in February.

Is that the El Tigre road? If it is, it is now paved.

Not the El Tigre road but I think "THIS ROAD" crosses the Tigre road at Porvenir. It's on the map.

I took it about 18 months ago and it was great! Cleanest dirt road I`ve ever seen in baja-- not even a diaper! I think Sempra maintains most of it for their pipeline access.

Here... I have an arrow along the new paved 'El Tigre' road... Santiago has pointed out a road to the north of that one...

But...don't they cross at Porvenir? Thought they did.

I took that road about a year ago, the entry from La Mission was a bit hard to find, (for me ). It was clasic old Baja California Norte. Views and terrain were fantastic. Some small ranchos and the village of San Jose de la Zorra is truely a "village" . It drops you back down into the Guadalupe Vally at Porvenir. You can also take the newly paved road of El Tigre, but I think you'll enjoy this more if you have the time.

Goody; I was thinking as much. SWMBO will be along and with ancestry emanating from Arkansas she'll enjoy the farming and of course, we will end up in the wine country mid-day which
ought to hit it just right. We may try Laja for dinner and will report.

I posted the map I made showing alternate paved roads from Ensenada to Tecate to avoid the construction zone on Hwy. 3.

Santiago posted a map with an arrow to show which road he is asking about... Then BajaBass asks if that's the new paved El Tigre road (it is not)... So, I post a map that I have an arrow on the El Tigre road (I made paved) and it also shows the road Santiago is asking about, ie. both roads.
