hours for propane

woody with a view - 2-6-2010 at 08:54 PM

seeing as i got an old mexican tank with the small fill port (for an RV fridge) and they won't fill it up here i need to know when i can expect to find an open propane pump north of El Rosario early in the morning. i know where, but when they open i don't know.

as a last resort, is there a fitting i can buy that someone with one of those 5 foot tanks can fill my BBQ tank with?

The tank has to be set up to be able to discharge liquid. Not many are.

Send Irene at posada don diego a u2u or an email, she probably knows when the z-gas place is open.

You are going to have to do this every time you want to use the fridge. Our's will run about 2 weeks on a #50 tank. Maybe it's time to buy a new tank.:light:

the problem is the regulator/hose between the fridge and tank has a small male threaded fitting on the tank end which fits the tank that came with it. i don't want to buy the new hose/regulator/tank. that would cost more than i paid for the fridge/tank/hose.....

Bob's adapter would be the ticket, but they only offer ups ground and that ain't quick enuff. maybe camping world?

Do you, (or a good friend) have a BBQ that you can rob the parts off of, so you will have more time to fix it right, later? A hose and reg. is only $12 or $15 at harbor freight. They also have adapters, maybe what you need?

i'll call ferrill gas (29 palms, close by) tomorrow to see if they carry the fittings. i'm more concerned with being able to find the right fitting on the fridge end. i have 1/3 of a tank of gas left, it should be plenty for this trip.

The fridge end is usually a 3/8" flare fitting, (at least all of mine are) that being said, of course yours will be different.
As far as breakfast, I had the 3 egg omlete with the cream sauce once and it was great. Plenty of food for two.
