We are traveling in a motorhome and are currently in Bahia de Los Angeles. We will be heading South along HWY1to Cabo and Todos Santos. We will be
staying in all the major camping gounds including Rice and Beans in San Ignacio. We have purchased water in the 19 liter containers but would like to
fill the motorhome water tank. The tank has a valve that will only permit a waterhose with pressure to fill so we can't add the purchased water by
pouring in the fill plug. We do not have a water filter. We do have purex and produce washing liquid but would prefer not to add bad water to our
water tank. Do any of the campgrounds heading south from BL have regular campground drinkable water that you would add to a motorhome water tank?

I am not sure of the amount of pressure behind the hose, but if you drive up to the spring at Bahia de los Angeles (see the palms at the foot of the
mountain above town), you may be able to buy some spring water... we used to years ago. A friend would fill his motorhome tank from it.
In the old days, Sra. Diaz' coffee was sooo good (my mom would say)... Learned it was the water, not the brand of coffee that accounted for the great

Also check the pressure at the mercado in BLA.
As you enter town and take a right at the first intersection, the mercado on the right about 3-4 stores down has aqua purificado from a hose reel.
The store is alls slightly uphill from the parking so you may be able to develope more pressure parking lower in the lot.
We carry a spare 12V water pump for the camper that we can wire to the battery and connect to a water hose or bottle then pump into the filler valve.
Some of the Aqua Purificado stores have pumps in their set-ups that may allow sufficient pressure for you to fill up. Try the one on the right side of
the highway, just south of the turn into San Ignacio.
There are many campgrounds that have water but it is not always drinkable. The Yellow store in Mulege, Sernidad and others have hose bibs but we only
use it for bathing and washing. We use a 5 gallon with a hand pump for drinking and cooking.
Where is your water tank ?

Another thought its that all of the Aqua stores have 110 power so you could buy a small 110V water pump at a local store that you could use to fll

You got me curious so I called Shurflo to check the minimum required inlet pressure to fill past a regulated city fill valve.
FYI, they say about 25 psi.
Sooo, you would need to climb over 50 feet up a hill with your 5 gallon bottles to be able to gravity feed.

I forgot to mention; the best water we have gotten at an RV Park is at Manfred's in Cuidad Constitution.

Thanks for all the info. David, I found the spring you talked about but they had a 3 inch hose and no connection.. I did fill up a couple of 5 gallon
containers so at least have that good coffee water. We are going to be at Manfred's in a few days so will fill up there. Thanks again to all. Ron and

Diver- thanks for the heads up on the water at Manfreds (now called Misiones). We stayed there and filled the water tank. We treated with a little
purex and was told by the owner that she occassionally drinks it and she looks pretty healthy to me!! Thanks again. Ron
