The contract options are: 3GB for a similar price, and a higher limit for 10GB a month. For most people, the prepaid makes more sense, as you only
pay for it on the days/weeks/months you use it. No need to pay for it every month. No need for all that paperwork.
To answer a question at the beginning of the thread. to tell if you have 3G or not see if your phone has a 3G or UTMS option in the network settings
(most won't), and try that to see if your phone reports 3G. If it just says GSM, that's the older, slower system - which means either that there is
no 3G in your area, or your phone doesn't support 3G 850 as used in Mexico.
The 3G, where available, is excellent. I've been using it as my main connection for the past 3 or 4 months, routinely get speeds as good as wired
DSL. Anyway, there's much more about it at my site mentioned above and below.
