Good Camp Spot Near Tecate Crossing (US Side)?

DeMinimis - 2-9-2010 at 06:16 PM

Dunno, not exactly "Baja Camping" but looks like the best spot to post this question. Looking for a good spot to overnight near the Tecate crossing on the US side. A secure RV style spot would be nice. Of course, boondocking is good too. I've never crossed at Tecate, so I don't know what's good on the US side. If you've got a favorite in the area, please shout it out. Thanks!!

This was just covered recently but not sure how to find the other post, maybe someone will pull up the link for you.
Potrero park is a San Diego county park and is five miles from the border. Great place to launch a trip into Baja as long as the last rain storms didn't wash out any of the road. Nice drive through the wine country and drops you back on Hwy 1 in Ensenada. If you don't get any other replys just do a search on Potrero park and should get the info you need.
BTW this is my favorite place to stay when crossing at Tecate.
Good luck and have a Great trip..........
