You just never know what you will find!

14 miles from Rancho Santa Ynez, 1/2 mile from Mision Santa Maria.

Udo, No, the vehicle is fine... it is Squarecircle's LR-3... I am following to Mision Santa Maria... about 1/2 mile away.

Bonanza, that is about 10 miles west-southwest of Alfonsina's. About halfway between Alfonsina's and Santa Ynez' airports, look down!

Just googled it.. looks really neat.. a river of water in the middle of the desert.. would be something to see..

Do you stay for any time their or just stop for a while?

Indicated there were many, many sites of importance in the area also

Thanks

The first time we passed through there we stayed a couple of nights... but mostly we just spend the night there on our way further South. The best oasis ever is in Mulege, near the Mission there, behind it, up the steps... thousands of palm tress lining the river below almost as far as one can see But, San Ignacio is a must stop place to visit.
